QPR FC was formed in 1882 when two teams merged, St Jude’s with Christchurch Rangers. The team took the title Queens Park because most of the players came from that area of North-West London. In 1889 the team assumed professional status and played their home games in nearly 20 different locations until finding their permanent home of Loftus Road in 1917.
