Fulham FC started as a club in 1879 and its full name was Fulham St Andrew’s Church Sunday School. The club had bee started by the worshippers of a church on Star Road in West Kensington. As an ameutuer side they won the London Cup in 1887. The name of the club was shortened in 1888 and they move to the now iconic Craven Cottage in 1896 and played their first game at the ground against a team with the name of Minerva FC.
