Norwich City FC was formed by a group of players at the Criterion Café on 17th June 1902. The club’s first competitive game was played in 1902 against Harwich & Parkeston. Norwich became a professional side in 1905 and elected to play in the Southern League. Due to their success they were forced to move to ‘The Nest’ a disused chalk pit in 1908. The history reporting of Norwich City moves onto 1935 and a 4:3 victory over West Ham at the newly opened Carrow Road ground.
